De La Barracuda is a hot spot for street art.  Almost every week or so there’s a new mural on their outside wall that faces Melrose.  Many people may not be aware that around the back entrance is this great image by Skullphone.

Known for his icon of a black & white skull holding a cell phone, Skullphone appeared on the streets in 1999 with his repetitive imagery and then sparked controversy in 2008 when he re-emerged on the first digital billboards in Los Angeles.

Skullphone can be found in numerous places around the city, so keep your eyes peeled when you’re traveling the streets.
